Fitzroy North House

A renovation to a single-fronted Victorian residence, centred around a considered reworking of the home’s kitchen and dining spaces.

At the heart of the project, a sculpted stone island sits beneath a series of new skylights, bringing natural light into the existing plan. A warm timber backdrop defines the kitchen, introducing texture and richness while concealing the functional elements of the space.

The intervention is deliberately contained, using light, material and a small number of carefully detailed elements to bring a new clarity to the Victorian home.
